Cheshire Hillside Cemetery - Rules & Regulations

Roads shall be used for cemetery use only.
No horses allowed.
No dogs allowed.
One monument only, per plot.
No corner stones allowed.
Graves sold in multiples of two in Brookside Section and all additional areas developed in the future.
No above ground markers in the Brookside Section and all additional areas developed in the future.
No artificial decorations allowed from April 1st to December 1st.
Any new rules or regulations passed in the future shall pertain to all sections of the cemetery.
No more than two cremations or one burial and one cremation may be made in a single lot.
No snowmobiles or motor bikes allowed in cemetery.
Winter decorations and receptacle should be removed by lot owner by March 1st or they will be discarded by CEmetery employees.
No bushes with thorns, or spreading bushes (i.e. rhododendron) shall be allowed.
Trees should be dwarf Alberta spruce. Such trees will be trimmed annually by Cemetery employees, When these trees become over grown, Cemetery employees will notify lot owners that they will be removed. This can be done by lot owner , or by Cemetery personnel at a cost to be determined by cemetery.
Cemetery personnel would also be able to plant new trees at a cost.
Monument length size limits for a two-grave plot is 48 inches; for a single-grave the limit is 24 inches. The height shall be appropriate for the Cemetery section of the burial.
No monument will be placed on a grave until the lot and burial are paid for.
